Julie is a provisionally registered counsellor and psychologist with PACFA and AHPRA. She is completing her final 4 + 2 study pathway to registration as a fully qualified psychologist.
She is passionate about supporting people undergoing mental health and age-related issues, life transitions, physical health challenges, and behavioural problems so they can overcome obstacles and develop more adaptive coping mechanisms.
Julie builds respectful and collaborative therapeutic relationships and has experience working with individuals presenting with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, stress, burnout, grief and loss, self-care, and loneliness.
She incorporates a range of evidence-based psychological therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Strengths-Based Person-Centred Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy, as well as other therapeutic models, and collaboratively tailors interventions to each person’s presenting issues and to their goals.
Julie brings a wealth of lived experience and wisdom combined with the desire to build empathetic and collaborative relationships that support and empower people, so they have the tools and knowledge to bring positive change in their lives.
Julie has a strong Christian faith and delivers her work with diplomacy, friendliness, honesty, and genuineness.
