We provide caring, confidential, and professional support to people of all ages, tailored to the unique individuals they are. All of our counselling and assessment services are based on current research, evidence, and experience.

  • Individual Counselling

    Our team of psychologists and counsellors offers therapy to individuals of all ages and situations. We support people through a wide range of difficulties and challenges, such as anxiety, depression, workplace stress, grief, change of life circumstances, addiction, anger, illness, and life’s overwhelm, to name just a few.


    Mental health disorders:

    • If you’re experiencing symptoms of mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia, a psychologist can provide diagnosis and treatment.

    Therapy and counselling:

    • For long-term therapy to address deep-seated emotional issues, trauma, or relationship problems.

    Psychological testing:

    • If you need assessments for learning disabilities, ADHD, or other cognitive evaluations.

    Behavioural issues:

    • For help with behavioural problems, such as those related to addiction or eating disorders.
  • Couple and Family Counselling

    No matter what walk of life you come from, families and couples face many challenges. Magnolia House Psychology and Therapies Centre is highly experienced in supporting people going through relationship stress, changes, transitions, and the trials and tribulations of staying together and working together.


    Our qualified therapists can help you to:


    • Improve communication within the relationship.
    • Assist partners to each change their views of the relationship and to be more objective in their appraisals of what is occurring within the relationship.
    • Modify the problematic behaviours within the relationship.
    • Decrease emotional avoidance and encourage attachment between partners.
    • Build on the strengths each partner brings to the relationship and on the strength of the relationship itself.
  • Sex Therapy

    Sex therapy can help you to explore any issues you may have around sexuality. These may include gaining more awareness and knowledge about a condition and how to successfully address the issue.

    Sex therapy at Magnolia House is not a forensic service and does not accept clients for treatment of sexual issues involving non-consensual and/or illegal acts.

  • EAP / WorkCover

    Magnolia House Psychology and Therapies Centre offers support for a wide range of difficulties, and we work with many organisations and Employee Assistance Programs. Some of these difficulties may be workplace stress or conflict, life difficulties, or any other individual needs. 


    If you are currently supported by WorkCover and require support to return to work or transition to something different, we can also help.

  • NDIS Psychological Therapy

    Using the most up-to-date methods, our qualified practitioners offer therapy and assessments under NDIS programs.


    This support may be:


    • Individual psychological therapy.
    • Parent training and support for early intervention.
    • Support worker training in managing the needs and emotions of their participants.
    • Functional and cognitive assessments for NDIS access or reviews.
  • Career Counselling

    What you do for work can have a huge impact on your quality of life. Getting help from a career professional will help you explore, re-evaluate, make decisions, plan, and move forward in your career with optimism and confidence. 


    Our practitioner will assist you to: 


    • Clearly define your purpose.
    • Explore your underlying values and barriers in a safe way that validates
    • Unpack and reframe your thoughts about yourself and what you want to achieve in your future.
    • Brainstorm possibilities that you may not have thought of before.
    • Guide you towards an understanding of choice in the context of success criteria and 'fit.’
    • Move forward with intent. 
    • Finish each session with an achievable action plan.

  • Social Worker Support

    If you’re dealing with significant life changes like divorce, job loss, or relocation, a social worker can provide support and resources to help you.


    Some examples include:


    • Accessing resources - assistance in social services, such as housing, financial aid, or healthcare.
    • Crisis intervention - if you’re in a crisis situation, such as domestic violence or homelessness, a social worker can help you find support and safety.
    • Holistic support - help with managing multiple aspects of your life, including social, economic, and emotional challenges.

    Clinical social workers also provide therapy and support for emotional and mental health issues using a holistic approach.
